The first time I had the opportunity to spend some time in a hot tub was at a party at the end of summer bowling. A friend was fortunate to have one on their back deck. I ell in love with it immediately! From that moment on, I knew I had to own my own spa.

So a couple of years ago, an advertisement came on TV. A large sale at ThermoSpas. My son and I were off to Wallingford. The selection was unbelievable. We were overwhelmed. I think it took us a couple hours to check them all out. We narrowed it to two, and decided on a spa that seats 5 with a beautiful blue marble interior.

When it was delivered on our back patio, a perfect spot, made to order, I just couldn’t wait to jump in. Of course we had to have our electrician hook it up and it needed to be filled. That was July of 1999. I can’t count the times I’ve said, “This is no doubt the best toy I ever bought!”

“ThermoSpas turn water into therapy.” How true! I don’t know how I ever lived without one! About 14 years ago, I had problems with my back. First a herniated disc and then a disintegrated disc. I was lucky to be able to take care of these with chiropractic help instead of an operation. Later, an injury to my knee. The therapy I get with my spa is just amazing. This spa actually was recommended by my doctor to hasten recovery.

Whatever the pain may be- from bad backs, knee problems, sore muscles, tension, stress, you name it this spa is “just what the doctor ordered.” With 57 jets and 3 pumps, and that warm water bouncing off your body, I’m in heaven. In the Concord Elite model we have, there are 2 captains chairs, a side by side bench seat with built in pillows and an ice bucket. What more could you ask for?

I use to think that you had to be a little crazy to go outside in the middle of winter in your bathing suit to get into your spa. Even at 15 degrees, let me tell you, it’s the best! You are warmed to the bone and you don’t feel that awful cold air. It sure makes winter a bit more tolerable. You feel warm, relaxed, stress-free, pain free. It’s a place to just “chill out”.

I would say the health benefit is a top priority with me, but it’s great entertainment for anyone’s lifestyle. It’s wonderful sharing with friends to solve the problems of the world or just a quiet special moment with your spouse.
