My significant other, Susan, and I purchased a Lexington ThermoSpa two years ago. I’m a 69 year old retired engineer who also played professional hockey for 13 years with the Boston Bruins as a back up goal tender. My primary reason for purchasing a ThermoSpa was for health reasons. My hockey career took its physical toll on my body. I have a chronic bad back from a diving accident as a child, have had surgery on both knees, a total hip replacement, and most recently prostate surgery to remove cancer. To compound matter, I am an avid golfer playing an average of three rounds of golf a week. My ThermoSpa has played a major role in alleviating my health problems and allowing me to enjoy a very active lifestyle.

We have a large playroom (36x22) with a great fireplace. Due to our geographic location, Billerica is 10 miles north of Boston, we made the decision to put the spa in our playroom. This way we could use the spa throughout the entire year which we do. Some of the many benefits we receive from our ThermoSpa are the following:

Communication: When Susan joins me in the spa we have each other’s undivided attention. No place to hide – great for communicating our thoughts and feelings – many issues have been resolved in the spa.

Personal Therapy: On a cold snowy winter day, our ThermoSpa hot tub along with a warm fireplace while watching Florida golf goes a long way in dissolving any personal stress and aching muscles especially after snow shoveling or stacking wood.

Physical Relaxation: At age 69, and still enjoying a very active lifestyle, including playing golf 3 times a week competitively with players 15-20 years younger than myself, our spa does wonders for restoring the soul, calming the mind, and rejuvenating the body.

Grandchildren: I have nine grandchildren who range in age from 2-15 years old. When they arrive on various occasions, the first question they always ask is “Grampy can we use the spa?” They especially love the air bubbling system. To hear their joyful laughter really warms our hearts.

In summary, our ThermoSpa has been a great investment! It has greatly alleviated my personal health problems. Susan and I enjoy a better relationship and my daily routine in the spa allows me to mentally relax through the therapeutic value of the soothing, warm bubbly water. Life’s issues are put in their proper perspective and our cold, snowy winters in Billerica become a lot shorter when I can enjoy my spa with a warm fire while watching Florida Golf. And finally the highlight of the Holiday Season, or any visit, for my grandchildren is their Grandfather’s ThermoSpa.
