Description
While the warm, swirling water envelopes me and a canopy of stars shines overhead, I sip a glass of wine and commune with my special someone, who is seated next to me giving me his undivided attention. No, this doesn’t describe a romantic vacation, it describes my typical weekly “date night” and I wouldn’t trade it for any vacation!
Many relationship experts talk about the importance of married couples spending time together away from the day –t o-day stresses of their busy lives. One concept often suggested is to have a “date night” a weekly time that a couple sets aside to spend alone together with no domestic responsibilities. Unfortunately, with a 2-year-old and no relatives nearby, having a date night out for my husband and me would be difficult. Instead, we set aside a spa date every Friday night after we put our daughter to bed.
Our ThermoSpa is located outside next to our patio, but no matter what the temperature outdoors, the spa always feels terrific, and the night sky is often a magnificent sight. Sometimes my husband and I share a bottle of wine, other times he will have a beer and I’ll enjoy a cup of tea. Before setting up these spa “Dates”. Our relationship was suffering from the many stresses that two career couples encounter. We had truly forgotten how much we enjoy being together and we were not taking the time to relax. Now we get our weekends off to a great start with a fun and tension reducing soak!
One of my husband’s other favorite times to use the ThermoSpa is after a baseball game. He enjoys baseball so much that he continues to play despite osteoarthritis in his hip. The healing properties that a soak in the ThermoSpa offers are tremendous! The soothing water massage alleviates stiffness and pain. He now feels revitalized and energetic after a post-game soak.
We decided to purchase the ThermoSpa when we realized just how much we valued the therapeutic experience of a relaxing soak. My husband and I were planning a beach vacation a few years ago and trying to find a rental house that met all of our criteria. First on our list was that the house should have a hot tub or spa. To use at the time, having a spa at our disposal was something of a luxury and I remember thinking I didn’t want our special week at the beach to be spent without one. We soon realized we could make this luxury a part of our day-today lives rather than waiting for a vacation! Before owning a ThermoSpa we would too often neglect to take the time to relax and enjoy ourselves. In fact I asked my husband the other day what he liked best about our spa, he replied, “if it weren’t for the ThermoSpa, I’d never get a chance to have a beer!”
Sincerely
Bonnie Ervin.
