Description
Gentle laughter, idle chatter and endless smiles are just a few of the sights and sounds in our backyard these days because of our ThermoSpa hot tub.
Keeping our family life normal and happy is a household philosophy for us. Paul, our 15 year old son was diagnosed with a serious illness causing his joints to stiffen and progressive mental deterioration. Our journey, caring for Paul led us to the purchase of Penthouse ThermoSpa.
The physical benefits of warm water therapy for Paul are extraordinary. After a few minutes in the tub, his joints relax and his arms and legs begin moving and exercising. He becomes more animated, verbal and we get to see his beautiful smile. We can literally see some of the pain in his body ease. Paul never hesitates at the opportunity to “have a bubble”. And often undresses at the mere mention. To my delight we kept a path shoveled and continued warm water therapy all winter long.
The surprise for us is that therapeutic benefits have gone far beyond Paul and reach to the entire family. A recent happy memory was watching Kate, Paul’s younger sister pop into the Hot Tub with her brother and play hide-n-seek with the bubbles. As time rolls forward, it becomes increasingly difficult for her to find ways to interact with her brother and the hot tub has proven its value. These moments are priceless to us as we are keenly aware of our limited time with Paul. It is also wonderfully gratifying for a parent to watch your children interact in a healthy, playful manner away form video games, TV, and computer.
Finally, raising a child with a chronic illness is very stressful and sometimes overwhelming. My husband and I have found that enjoying a quite moment under the stars is rejuvenating for our marriage and our souls! In general having and owning a hot tub has bolstered the overall quality of our family life in ways we never imagined it would.
I would recommend a ThermoSpa Hot Tub to any on-the-go busy 21st century family. Don’t wait for a chronic illness to be your reason. Remember the old adage, “the family that plays together, stays together”. We believe it.
Sincerely
