I have always wanted a spa after reading all the benefits you can get. I purchased my Essex Premier spa from the ThermoSpas in 1995, after researching spas around the area. I had rotator cuff (shoulder) surgery in 1994, have arthritis, fibromyologia, and just the usual aches and pains at my age which is now 59. I had hoped the therapy from the spa would help relieve the aches and pains. And it did just that. Whenever I or a family member (or friends) did too much yard work in the spring, the spa was the answer. But it has helped me the most this spring. In March I had my other shoulder, another rotator cuff, operated on. Now whether it’s because I’m a few years older, or just the surgery, the pain has been severe. And if you have ever had to go to therapy, you know how painful it can be. Just hop in the spa, and after twenty minutes, you’ll feel like a new person and able to move with more mobility and less pain. I like to go into the spa before I have to do my exercises at home. It helps loosen everything up and takes a little of the pain away.

It is also a very relaxing place to sit and chat with family and friends. My oldest son has been in the US marine corps for 18 years and doesn’t get to spend much time at home. When he does get home, he enjoys going into the spa and just relaxing and enjoying the Connecticut air. The spa is outside on our deck. We seem to enjoy the spa in the winter cold the best, with a little snow falling. You would think you would be cold, but you don’t even feel cold. It’s amazing. It is really the most relaxing and beneficial thing I did for myself, family, and friends.

As the say goes, “try it, you’ll like it”. We love ours. So if you get the chance to try one, please do so. I hope you find the benefits that I have using my spa, whether it be for medical, relaxation, or socializing with family and friends. Just sit back, relax, and enjoy.
