In June of 1984 I walked down the street of the US forces housing area in Kornwestheim, Germany as the station commander of the local military police substation. I was in full uniform complete with my duty weapon and radio communications. German-American Friendship Week had just begun, and the local military community was sponsoring a fest at the army airfield.

While walking down the street, I stopped an on-coming vehicle that was missing it’s front license plate, yet had the required sticker. Terrorists had been removing US license plates in order to access restricted areas, and I needed to make a determination on the status of this vehicle.

As I spoke to the vehicle operator who was obviously an American Civilian, my radio crackled to life and an all points bulletin was issued for the vehicle I had stopped. The operator was suspected of having just committed a crime. I heard the radio broadcast as did the bad guy to whom I was speaking. I immediately ordered the suspect out of the vehicle, and when he refused I began an attempt to extract him.

I grabbed him, and he grabbed me. He stepped on the gas and dragged me approximately 250 feet. My legs were under the vehicle at the time and my knees hyper extended. I was eventually thrown from the vehicle into the gutter.

I left the military four months later. About three years after the event I began to have problems with my knees, and subsequently my entire lower body. I live in daily discomfort and at times pain.

I don’t know what sensation feels better: the tub action or the feeling as I leave it and the air hits my body. I use the tub at night and become so relaxed and free from discomfort that I sleep like a baby.

My whole family loves the tub for their own reasons. I’m sorry I didn’t purchase it sooner. The ThermoSpa has been the best medicine for me, both physically and mentally.
