As a special procedures nurse at Yale New Haven Hospital, I wear a lead apron for my 12 hour sifts to care for my patients;. Leaving at the end of my day at 8pm, my back, neck, and legs are very tired and sore. I can’t wait to get into my car and drive back home. What a joy it is to have my husband waiting for me to soak in our ThermoSpa at the end of my day. Not only does the water therapy help my ailments, but also the special time spent with him is worth millions in this world of stress and craziness. We have learned to relax and enjoy each other to the fullest. We’ve achieved this by talking to each other so much more, expressing ourselves, and sharing our thoughts in the ThermoSpa. A confined setting really promotes this feeling well.

I have been a nurse at Yale for 32 years and have worn lead for 19. After seeing many of my co workers leave because of back and leg problems, I credit the use of my spa for my longevity in the department.
